What does my dedicated Shyft Move Coach do apart from the initial consultation?

Your dedicated Shyft Move Coach takes care of your entire relocation experience - in addition to finding a mover for your household goods, your Move Coach will advise you about the best relocation type for your budget.

What happens during a contactless video chat?

Your dedicated Shyft Move Coach will complete a short video chat with you, during which you’ll guide them through your house and the belongings that you want to move. In less than 30-minutes, they will extract the entire inventory list, which will be used to find movers; hence, you will not have multiple people in your home.

Do I communicate with Shyft or with the movers directly?

Shyft is always your point of contact; however, your moving company may sometimes send you updates. Don’t worry, Shyft is still taking care of your move - so please keep all questions or concerns for your dedicated Move Coach.

What are the Covid-19 protocols followed by the movers?

Please be assured that the movers in the Shyft network take every precaution to ensure your safety; however, every company has their own COVID-19 protocols. Please let your dedicated Move Coach know your concerns so that they can address them accordingly.

Shyft is not liable or responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

Shyft is licensed as a broker of household goods and other property, such as automobiles, by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. As a broker of services, Shyft arranges for third-party providers, such as moving companies, automobile transportation carriers and others, to provide services to Members under the Program. Shyft does not operate equipment under the Program, does not act as a carrier and does not at any time handle, pack, crate, load, transport, store, unload, unpack, uncrate, deliver, or otherwise possess or control any household goods or other property belonging to Members at any time. Shyft does not exercise direct control over third-party service providers nor does Shyft warrant or guarantee the services provided by third parties, including but not limited to, household goods carriers. Household goods moves are subject to many situations, circumstances, and events beyond the control of Shyft and/or third parties engaged by Shyft on Members’ behalf, including but not limited to, acts of God, unexpected, unusual or persistent weather conditions, equipment scheduling problems and breakdowns, labor force disruptions caused by illness or other factors, changes in services occasioned by Members acts or omissions, etc.
